Daniel Sickle

Sickle

Daniel J. Sickle, 66, of Butler, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.

Dan was born on Feb. 26, 1956, in Ellwood City, to his wonderful parents, Gladys Marie (Bauder) and Richard Eugene Sickle.

He married the love of his life, Patti Jo (Mohan) on June 28, 1980. They made a wonderful team and created a great life for their family. He was the world's best husband, dad and pap.

Dan was a selfless man, who loved his family and always put them first. He loved Patti’s delicious cooking and weekly Sunday dinners with his family. He was an exceptional and humble hunter and fisherman. He passed his knowledge and wisdom on to so many throughout his life.

Dan recently retired from AK Steel, where he had spent almost 30 years in the melt shop.

Dan was simply the best and will be missed by so many.

Dan is survived by his wife, Patti; his daughter, Trisha Sickle, and her children, Noah, Josephine and Trenton; his daughter, Danielle Gabal, and her husband, Grant; his brother, Richard Sickle; and his sister, Stacy (Sickle) Croll, and her husband, Travis Croll.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
