Geraldine M. “Geri” Charles, 89, formerly of Mars, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March 30, 2022, at the Grove at Greenville.

Born in Pittsburgh, on May 7, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Corbett R. and Dora B. Gregory Collins.

Geri had been the recreational director at Valencia Woods Nursing Center, and was a member of Old Union Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Debby Dukes (Dan) of Mars, Becky Kincaid (Morgan) of Ohio and Patricia Berk (Frank) of Zelienople; a son, James A. Charles Jr. (Sharon) of Hadley, Pa.; her grandchildren, Steve Dumencic, Shane Charles, Mark and Chuck Kincaid, Ryan and Travis Berk, and Jenna Mainhart; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Suellen LeDonne (Harvey) of Allison Park.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Charles Sr., whom she married on June 6, 1951, and who died on Dec. 14, 2019; and her daughter, Pamela Charles.

CHARLES — Friends of Geraldine M. “Geri” Charles, who died Wednesday, March 30, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m Monday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will follow at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.
