Stephenie Scialabba running for state House District 12
Stephenie Scialabba, a Cranberry Township resident and attorney with Eckert Seamans in Pittsburgh, announced her candidacy for the 12th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Scialabba focuses her law practice on cybersecurity, data privacy matters and health care law, according to a news release. Her practice includes working with state and federal governmental agencies and regulators. Scialabba also advises governmental entities and private businesses on data privacy obligations and regulatory issues.
“I will be a strong Republican voice on key issues that are important to the constituents of the 12th Legislative District, including election integrity, property tax reform, local control and parental choice in education, infrastructure funding and capitalizing on our natural resources,” Scialabba said. “I am pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, pro-law enforcement, pro-business and pro-Pennsylvania.”
Scialabba earned bachelor’s of arts degrees in political science and history from the University of Pittsburgh, where she also earned her law degree. She was recognized as an upcoming community leader by the Pittsburgh Business Times.
“We need strong voices in Harrisburg that will work to enact policies to enable job creation throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, including the 12th Legislative District and Butler County,” Scialabba said. “Harrisburg should be a building block for job creators and taxpayers, not a stumbling block.”
Scialabba and her husband, John, have a son, Teddy.
“John and I have chosen to raise our family in Cranberry Township,” Scialabba said. “John grew up in Butler and his family still lives there, and my father lives in Cranberry Township. I am proud of our local communities and I will be a leader in Harrisburg advocating for all the communities in the 12th Legislative District.”
With legislative reapportionment, the 12th Legislative District will now be comprised of Cranberry, Adams and Jackson townships and the boroughs of Callery, Evans City, Harmony, Mars, Seven Fields, Valencia and Zelienople.
The primary election for this seat will be held May 17 and will be an open Republican primary with the announcement of incumbent Rep. Daryl Metcalfe’s retirement.
