SR schools donate pens to Butler Health System
The Slippery Rock Area School District recently raised $600 to purchase pens for staff at the Butler Health System. Cards and notes of appreciation also were distributed as part of the “1,000 Thanks” project.
Superintendent Alfonso Angelucci and district teacher Michelle Vinroe delivered the pens and “Thank yous” to hospital.
“We have been doing our part to keep students in school with a focus on in‐person learning and thought it was appropriate to thank those that have helped to keep our students and staff healthy,” Angelucci said. “The idea of thanking the heath care workers for all they have done over the past year — the past two years — is something we have talked about. The hospitals were stretched so thin and did all that they could to properly serve our communities. We just really appreciate what they have done.”
