Woman accused of stealing from nursing home resident

State police plan to charge a Petrolia woman with stealing thousands of dollars from a nursing home resident.

In a news release Tuesday, state police announced their intent to file charges against Jamie S. Roxberry, 28.

According to court records and staff at the Chicora District Court on Wednesday, those charges have yet to be filed.

According to the release, Roxberry stole a debit card belonging to a resident of the Quality Life Services facility, 160 Medical Center Road, Chicora.

“Roxberry fraudulently charged over $3,000 on his bank account without his permission, purchasing items at local businesses and withdrawing cash at local ATM machines throughout Butler and Armstrong counties,” police said.

Police said they plan to file charges of identity theft along with other related theft offenses.

Those charges can range from summary to felony-level offenses, depending on the specifics of the crime.
