Unique, high-end event coming to airport

Locals should be revved up about a Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix event that will be held this summer in Penn Township.

The annual event, which sees vintage race cars speeding through Schenley Park as they attempt to take the checkered flag, is preceded by Race Week, during which many racing-related events are held.

This year the Jet Center Party will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. July 21 at the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport.

Entitled “Passport to Elegance,” the upscale event will include rare and exotic vintage cars and airplanes, an open bar, a catered dinner and keynote speaker Bobby Rahal, in addition to other surprises.

Tickets are $375 for the event, which also is a fundraiser for the 40th annual Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix’s charity partners.

More information as well as discounted individual and group tickets are available at https://www.pvgp.org/events/jetcenter.
