Dorothy Campbell
With the angels now, Dorothy Rose (Keddie) Campbell, 95, of West Sunbury, born Oct. 1, 1926, passed away March 16, 2022.
She joined her parents, Joseph and Agnes (Fey) Keddie, and her siblings, Beatrice, Regis, Grace, Jean, Millie and David, on the 42nd anniversary of her mother’s passing.
She was married to Walter L. Campbell on July 6, 1948. They had nine children, Judy (Ray) Gaiser, Walter (Carolyn) Campbell, Sara (James) Trbusich, Nancy (Gilbert) Hoover, Donna (Kenneth) Hertzog), Ruth (Ray) Abplanalp, Joseph (Wendy) Campbell, James (Mary) Campbell and John (Michelle) Campbell. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, who completed the family.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; and her sons-in-law, Ray G. and James T.
Mickey, a fun-loving woman, was nicknamed by her dad after a mischievous comic book character. She enjoyed playing jokes, pranks, cards and Rummikub. She laughed when winning, and pouted shamelessly when not.
She was an active member of St. Faustina/St. Louis Church.
She enjoyed the outdoors, crafts, family and friends. Her beautiful smile will be missed. We love you more.
CAMPBELL — The family of Dorothy Rose (Keddie) Campbell, who died Wednesday, March 16, 2022, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church, with Father Adam Verona and Father Chuck Baptiste of St. Faustina Parish officiating.
Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery, followed by lunch at the church.
