Florence Williams

Williams

Florence H. Williams, formerly of Evans City, died peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2022, after a long battle with dementia.

Born March 3, 1929, in Pittsburgh, she was the last surviving of 10 children, and was the daughter of the late Michael and Wanda Zak Kozlowski.

Extremely proud of her Polish heritage, she enjoyed making pierogi for the various fundraisers for St. Matthias Catholic Church in Evans City. She actively belonged to the parish for 70 years. She was also a member of the AARP in Mars.

Surviving are her daughters, Bernice Williams-Castle, Charlene Smith (Steven), and Deborah Williams; and her granddaughters, Kristy Stewart (Jim) and Megan Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. “Chuck” Williams Jr.; and one grandson.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Paramount Senior Living at Cranberry for the excellent care Florence received this past year and also during her final days. She really seemed to enjoy life at the facility, even with her dementia.

WILLIAMS — Per her wishes, there will be no visitation for Florence H. Williams, who died Sunday, March 13, 2022.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople.
