220 nurses to protest ACMH Sunday
Nurses at ACMH Hospital in Kittanning will walk off the job Sunday to protest lack of recruitment efforts.
The strike is set to last from 7 a.m. Sunday to 4:59 a.m. Friday. Rallies will take place at noon Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday where community members and elected officials will speak in support of the nurses.
Nurses are protesting the delayed use of $333,000 from the state given to ACMH for staff retention and recruitment. The current staff said those funds should be used for those who carried the hospital through the pandemic.
