Krason

David Lee "Hawkeye" Krason, 73, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022, at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.

David was born on Oct. 26, 1948, and was the son of the late Walter and Ann (Ochaba) Krason.

He graduated from Butler High School in 1966. He was a disabled veteran of the U.S Army, having served in the Vietnam War.

David was a retired veterans' representative at CareerLink in Butler. He was also employed as a painter at the VA Hospital in Butler. In addition, he ran Professional Wallcoverings, which was his own painting and wallpapering business.

In his spare time, David was an avid golfer, who believed in living life to the fullest.

He is survived by his daughter, Beth (Krason) Leasher and her husband, Nathan, of Harmony; four grandchildren, Lumen, River, Nova and Paxton, also of Harmony; and two brothers and a sister, Robert "Bob" Krason and his wife, Kathy, of Meridian, Walter "Puncho" Krason and his wife, Joyce, of Valencia, and Theresa "Terri" (Krason) Markle and her husband, Charlie, of Slippery Rock.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Patricia "Trish" (Weigle) Krason; and a grandson, Rider Aaron Crawford.

KRASON — There will be no public visitation for David Lee "Hawkeye" Krason, who died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2022.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. Tom Holman officiating.

Arrangements were entrusted to THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of David to The Ronald McDonald House or The Highmark Caring Place.
