Cupec

Rachel Betty Cupec, 88, of Grove City, passed away on March 3, 2022.

She was born June 12, 1933, in Catawba, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Sallie (Carver) Smith.

She married the love of her life, Joe Cupec, on April 5, 1954. Her second love was being a mother, grandmother and a homemaker.

Her hobbies were gardening, puzzles and crocheting. She enjoyed attending flea markets and yard sales to find a precious treasure or keepsake. She also enjoyed shopping at the S.A. Boutique, which is what she called the Salvation Army.

She is survived by her son, Joe (Shirley) Cupec of Harrisville; and her daughter, Deborah Picard of Texas.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Clay (Michelle) Cupec, Jennifer (Michael) Raffensberger and Rachel Picard; and her stepgrandchildren, Vicki (Robert) Borland, Amy (Curt) Mershimer, and Traci (John Conley) Lukavich; four great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years; her grandson, Steven Cupec; eight siblings; and five nephews.

CUPEC — Services will be private for Rachel Betty Cupec, who died Thursday, March 3, 2022, and arrangements were entrusted to RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 387 Main St., Prospect.
