William Pflueger

Pflueger

William M. Pflueger, 79 of Saxonburg, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at his home.

Born Jan. 18, 1943, in Butler, he was the son of the late Hugo M. Pflueger and Elizabeth A. (Muder) Pflueger.

Bill was veteran of the Army Reserves. He owned and operated Pflueger's Barber Shop for 47 years. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Butler, where he was a lay reader and communion assistant. Bill was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 239 in Freeport and Scottish Rite of New Castle. His hobbies included woodworking, golfing, reading, hunting and attending his grandkids’ sporting activities. Bill was an avid Knoch Knight fan for over 40 years for basketball and football. Most of all, Bill loved spending time with his beloved family. He and Barb were always together, where you saw one, you saw the other.

Surviving is his loving wife, Barbara Weleski Pflueger, whom he married Nov. 28, 1981; his sons, Daniel M. (Cheryl) Pflueger of Saxonburg and Ronald W. (Chris) Pflueger of Sarver; his daughter, Lisa (the late Tom) Righi of Saxonburg; nine grandchildren, Andrew Tudor and his wife, Lauren, Jaye Thompson and her husband, Richard, Daniele Hartle and her husband, Daniel, Nikolas Pflueger and his friend, Kelsi, Allyssa Shelton and her husband, Terry, Chad Tudor and his wife, Paige, Marissa Heckathorne and her friend, Alec, Ryan Lang and Derek Lang; six great grandchildren, Roman, Jemma, Connor, Everly, Liam and Logan; a special cousin, Donald Isenberg of Harrisville, and his beloved dog, Jakob.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother- and father-in-law, Martin and Audene Weleski.

PLUEGER — A funeral service for William M. Pflueger, who died Sunday, March 6, 2022, will be held at 10 a.m.Tuesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with Pastor David Phillips and Pastor James Neal, officiating. Everyone please meet at the church.

Private interment will follow at Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.
