Georgia Buchanan, 50, of Butler, passed away on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022.

She was born in Louisville, Ky. June 9, 1971, and was the daughter of Noel (Buck) Buchanan and the late Shirley (Buster) Buchanan.

Georgia worked in hospitality and was employed by several hotels in Kentucky and Pennsylvania throughout her life. She loved animals, was kind, and was known to often put others before herself. During her time in Western Pennsylvania, Georgia grew to love the Pittsburgh Steelers. She made a home with her partner, Don Harper of Butler, for 20 years.

She was the beloved mother of Chris (Casey) Buchanan of Winchester, Ky. She was the sister of Angela (Bruce) Chissom of Kentucky and Brandon Buchanan of Louisville, Ky. Georgia had three grandchildren, Nick, Elizebeth and Anthony of Winchester, Ky.; and numerous nieces. She was loved and will forever be missed.
