Work to begin on I79 March 14
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation District 10 announced guiderail end treatments on Interstate 79 northbound and southbound between Exit 76-Cranberry and Exit 87-Zelienople will begin March 14.
Green Acres Contracting of Scottsdale will complete the $2.8 million project. Motorists can expect daytime lane closures.
When encountering a work zone, drivers should drive the posted speed limit, turn on headlights, pay close attention to signs and flaggers, and avoid all distractions. In high-traffic locations, motorists are encouraged to use both lanes of travel to the merge point and are asked to take turns merging into the open lane.
