The following defendants were sentenced Thursday in Butler County Common Pleas court by Judge Timothy F. McCune.
Joseph Edward Kauer, 53, of Butler was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation, including 105 days of house arrest, pay a $1,500 fine, and complete alcohol highway safety school, a victim impact panel and litter pickup after pleading guilty to his second driving under the influence offense. Other charges were dismissed. Butler Township police filed charges following a Nov. 9, 2020, incident.
Jacob Stone Slater, 24, of New Castle was sentenced to serve six months probation, including 14 days of house arrest, pay fines totaling $1,025 and complete alcohol highway safety school, 40 hours of community service, a victim impact panel and litter pickup after pleading guilty to DUI of a controlled substance and a summary traffic violation. Other charges were dismissed. State police filed charges following a July 3 incident.
Jeffrey Scott Panko, 35, of Butler was sentenced to serve six months of probation, including seven days of house arrest, pay a $500 fine and complete alcohol highway safety school, 40 hours of community service, litter pickup and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to driving under the influence. Other charges were dismissed. Jackson Township police filed charges following an Aug. 28 incident.
Edge Wyatt Kerry, 28, of Butler was sentenced to serve a total of 35 days to 23 1/2 months in prison followed by 24 months of probation, pay a $100 fine and complete 25 hours of community service after pleading to charges filed by state police in three separate cases. He pleaded guilty to charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police, possession of a controlled substance and firearms not to be carried without a license filed following a June 26 incident. In another case, he pleaded guilty to a charge of flight to avoid apprehension filed after an Aug. 4 incident. In a third case, he pleaded guilty to charges of possession of heroin and driving with a suspended license filed after a Nov. 9, 2020 incident.
Tyler Alan Bowen, 23, of Zelienople was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation, including 105 days of house arrest, pay a $1,500 fine and complete 50 hours of community service, alcohol highway safety school, litter pickup and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to his second DUI offense. Other charges were dismissed. State police filed charges following a July 27, 2019, incident. In a second case, he was not prosecuted on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana he pleaded guilty to. State police filed charges following a July 14, 2019, incident.
Eric Lawrence Rahm, 54, of Baden was sentenced to serve a total of 18 months of probation, including 14 days of house arrest, pay $1,100 in fines and complete alcohol highway safety school and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to charges filed by Cranberry Township police in two cases. He pleaded guilty to charges of recklessly endangering another person and a summary traffic violation filed after a Dec. 27, 2020, incident. In a second case, he pleaded guilty to charge of DUI filed after an April 8, 2019, incident. Other charges were dismissed.
Bryce Henderson Dick, 21, of Prospect was sentenced to serve six months of probation, including 14 days of house arrest, pay a $1,000 fine and complete alcohol highway safety school, 40 hours of community service, litter pickup and a victim impact panel after pleading guilty to a charge of DUI filed by state police following a July 1 incident. Other charges were dismissed.
