Gale Bradley
Gale R. Hillwig Bradley, 77, of Chicora, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 15, 2022, at the Oertel Care Center at Concordia.
Born in Franklin on Aug. 5, 1944, Gale was the daughter of the late Russell W. and Mary T. Beck Hillwig.
She was a 1963 graduate of Fairview Township Karns City High School.
Gale resided in Louisiana for a number of years. She was employed for 10 years by the St. Tammany Humane Society in Covington, La. She operated a pet sitting service, and was known for her love of animals and her involvement in their rescue.
Gale enjoyed bowling with the “Who Dat” and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” bowling teams in Mandeville, La., having won several patches and pins.
Gale returned to Chicora several years ago, and had attended the Chicora Alliance Church. She had been a member of the Women of The Moose, and had been on the Chicora Light Up Night Committee.
Gale was always quick to accept an invitation from any family or friends for a road trip.
Gale is survived by two sons, Larry Paul Crispen and his wife, Jennifer, of Kittanning, and Michael David Crispen and his companion, Sandra Campbell, of Chicora; five grandchildren, Kasey, Katelyn, Michael Jr., Ashley and Jacob Crispen; two great- grandchildren, Scarlet and Wrenleigh Rae Crispen of East Brady; two sisters, Dottie Kelsea and Rusann Anderson of Chicora, nine nieces and nephews; and several great- nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Gale was preceded in death by her twin sister, Diane Fennell.
BRADLEY — Friends of Gale R. Hillwig Bradley, who died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2022, will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at HILE FUNERAL HOME OF CHICORA, 339 Chicora-Fenelton Road, Chicora.
The Women of the Moose will conduct a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
A funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Wallace, pastor of Chicora Alliance Church, officiating.
Interment will be beside her twin sister in Oak Grove Cemetery, Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County.
