Carmen Wurdack
Carmen P. Wurdack, 78, of Zelienople, passed away on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, while under the care of St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born July 7, 1943, in Cebu City, Philippines, she was the daughter of Marcelo Payopanin and Eutiquia Cano Payopanin.
Carmen was a faithful member of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople.
She served as a nurse in Germany before coming to the states.
Carmen attended Carnegie Mellon University, where she earned her master’s degree. She was a substitute teacher at the Seneca Valley School District for well over 20 years.
She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Carmen leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Karl (Jordan) Wurdack; and her sister, Babie.
In addition to her parents, Carmen was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. “Joe” Wurdack, who passed away on March 25, 2014.
WURDACK — Friends of Carmen P. Wurdack, who died Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople.
Carmen will be laid to rest at St. Gregory Cemetery in Zelienople.
Donations may be made in Carmen’s memory to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
