Conley

Emmylou Conley, 90, of Mars, passed away on Tuesday morning, Jan. 11, 2022, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Nov. 1, 1931, in Mount Oliver, she was the daughter of the late Byron and Elizabeth Shelton Porter.

Emmylou had been a secretary at Wesco in Pittsburgh and more recently was a caregiver at Vision Day Care in Mars for 12 years.

She was a member of LifePointe Alliance Church in Mars.

Surviving are her daughter, Joy James (Kenneth), and a son, Ross W. Conley, both of Mars; and her grandchildren, Kenneth and Jennifer James.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne R. Conley, whom she married on Sept. 4, 1965, and who died on May 31, 2006; and by her siblings, Byron Porter, Ruth Dank, Harriet Seiferth and Mildred “Coke” Graney.

CONLEY — Friends of Emmylou Conley, who died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at LifePointe Alliance Church, 997 Route 228, Mars.

Services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Cope officiating.

Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.

Arrangements are under the direction of the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.
