Burka

Judy A. Burka, 77, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Butler on Sept. 29, 1944, and was the daughter of the late James and Sara (McGrady) Powers.

Judy enjoyed watching and attending Pirates games, completing crossword puzzles, listening to classic rock music, and traveling with bus tours. Judy was known to be very independent, loving, caring and offered her time and home to those in need. She loved her birds and cats, but cherished nothing more than her family.

She was loved and will be forever missed.

She was the beloved mother of Ray Leon Jr., Rita (Gene) Gaughf, Kelly Wilson, Michael Leon and Tina (Tim) Moreino.

She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and five sisters.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Dave; her first husband, Ray; and her second husband, Frank.

BURKA — Friends of Judy A. Burka, who died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A blessing service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
