Orpha Jane "Mickie" Hartsell, 98, of Butler, passed away Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, at the Orchards of Saxonburg.

She was born Oct. 25, 1923, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Carl and Olive (Hindman) Miller.

Orpha had worked for a number of years at the Holiday Inn in Butler as a hostess. She had worked at Butler Community College in the kitchen and was a Butler School District bus driver.

Surviving are her five daughters, Karen (Veeg) Griffiths of Lakeland, Fla., Rebecca (Michael) Thompson of Butler, Deborah (Ronald) Gregg of Butler, Gail (Edward) Miller of Chicora, and Tamara (Owen) Oesterling of Butler; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Stewart Hartsell, who passed away on Nov. 26, 2014; and her brother, Dean Miller.

HARTSELL — Friends of Orpha Jane "Mickie" Hartsell, who died Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Wednesday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Interment will follow in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
