John C. “Jack” Morrison, 90, of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Gibsonia and Hampton Township, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, surrounded by family.

Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years, Lucille D. Morrison.

Born in Gibsonia on May 4, 1931, he was the son of the late John L. and Evelyn Morrison.

Jack was a 1949 graduate of Mars High School, and proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1955 in the Army Security Agency. Upon discharge, he was employed by The North Pittsburgh Telephone Company from where he retired in 1988, after 36 years.

Jack was a former member of Hampton United Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his son Jeff of Arlington, Texas; his daughters, Marcy (Dave) Weagraff of Arlington, Texas, Lisa (Dave) Masukewicz of Flanders, N.J.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Charlotte Weibel of Saxonburg, and Carrie Welsh of Amberson, Pa.

Jack was a proud “Poppop,” who loved his family, home projects and following the Pittsburgh sports teams, even after his move to Texas.

Jack will be missed dearly by all of those he touched.

MORRISON — There will be no public memorial for John C. “Jack” Morrison, who died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022. Instead, there will be a private family celebration of his life.

Donations can be made in Jack’s name to the Korean War Veterans of Western Pennsylvania, 1500 One PPG Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
