Doris J. Sell, 101, of Cabot, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, at Concordia at the Orchard.

She was born Jan. 6, 1921, in Freeport, and was the daughter of the late Robert Singer and the late Margaret Huth Singer.

Doris was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star 98 in Tarentum, on the board of directors of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls, and the Saxonburg District Women's Club. She was the owner/operator of Sell Construction with her late husband, Walter and son Roger.

Doris was an active member of Zion United Methodist Church in Sarver.

She enjoyed sewing, painting china and gardening, and was always willing to use her gifts and talents for those in need. Doris loved to bring people together, be it for a Bible study or dinner party. She also enjoyed traveling the world—visiting Spain, England, Curacao and Morocco.

She is survived by two sons, Walter H. Sell Jr. of Kittanning, and Roger A. (Debbie) Sell of Cabot; two grandchildren, Alethea (Brian) Myers and Vincent Sell, all of Cabot; three great-grandchildren, Thaddaeus, Andrew and Morgan Myers; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. "Mike" Sell, whom she married on June 5, 1942, and who passed away on Aug. 18, 1998.

SELL — Friends of Doris J. Sell, who died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, will be received from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Seth McClymonds of Zion United Methodist Church officiating.

Entombment will take place in the chapel of All Faiths-Mausoleum, Greenlawn Burial Estates.
