Alice “Joanne” Hughes, 77, of Forward Township, passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2022.

She was born on Sept. 13, 1944, and was the daughter of the late Richard and Dessie (Hullihan) Bobbert.

Joanne was an active member of Family Life Ministries.

She was family oriented and loved nothing more than cooking for her family and friends. She was loved and will be forever missed.

Joanne was the beloved wife of James Hughes; mother of Patti (Don) Myers and Greg (Diane) Hughes; sister of Arlene Thompson, Lori (Don) Wolabaugh and Rick (Yvonne) Bobbert; sister-in-law of Vivian Hughes; grandmother of Megan (Scott) Schuller, Bret Myers, Kelli (Matt) Hillwig, Logan Hughes and Brandon Lambert; and the great-grandmother of Myleigh, Rowan, Joshua and Keegan.

She is also survived by her “forever daughter-in-law,” Laurie Lambert; and a large and loving family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James “Rick” Hughes.

HUGHES — Friends of Alice “Joanne” Hughes, who died Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A prayer service will follow in the funeral home.
