John C. Harris

John C. Harris, 70, of Mars, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, Dec. 29, 2021, at his home.

Born May 6, 1951, in Butler, he was the son of the late Robert Reed “Bud” and Catherine Ann Brandt Harris.

John was a truck driver and dispatcher for RAM Trucking in Saxonburg, and was also a truck driver for T. J. Hopper.

A member of Old Union Presbyterian Church, he was a life member of Adams Area Fire District and was a social member of Mars VFW Post 7505.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Rankin Harris, whom he married on July 6, 1974; his son, James R. “J.R.” Harris (Nicole) of Burgettstown; his daughter, Catherine “Kattie” Bordt (Michael) of Mars; his grandchildren, Josie, Faith, Arianna, Kolton, Jamison and Weston; and his sisters, Lois Atkinson and Ruth Ann Harris, both of Cranberry Township.

HARRIS — Friends of John C. Harris, who died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will follow at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jeff Lawther will officiate.
