Larrie Lefever
Larrie Floyd Lefever, 84, of Renfrew, passed away on Dec. 27, 2021, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 31, 1937, in Renfrew, and was the son of the late Floyd Edgar Lefever and the late Anna Clara Wachsmuth.
Larrie graduated from Butler High School in 1955.
He worked for Armco, before retiring in 1996.
Larrie loved the Lord and was a member and past organist for Connoquenessing United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed maintaining his garden and orchard, where he made and sold his own apple cider. Larrie was very resourceful, always working on cars and maintaining his home. He was an avid hunter and had a camp in Forest County.
Larrie had a great sense of humor and was a good storyteller. Above all else, Larrie will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Larrie is survived by his three sons, David Scott (Kathy) Lefever of Slippery Rock, Timothy Lee (Candy) Lefever of Butler and Larrie James (Julie) Lefever of Pittsburgh; one daughter, Cathy Sue (Randy) Howryla; six grandchildren, Matthew Howryla, Joshua Howryla, Scott Lefever, Andrew Lefever, Rachel Lefever and Cassandra Lefever; and one sister, Doris M. Bicehouse of Renfrew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean Smith Lefever, whom he married on Feb. 28, 1957, and who passed away on Nov. 1, 2016; two brothers, James E. Lefever and Ronald L. Lefever; and one sister, Margie L. Ifft.
LEFEVER — Friends of Larrie Floyd Lefever, who died Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at Connoquenessing United Methodist Church, 206 Main St., Connoquenessing, with a funeral service to follow at noon with the Rev. Bonnie Rupp and the Rev. William P. Saxman officiating.
Burial will take place in Butler County Memorial Park.
Arrangements were entrusted to Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
