Julia Langa
Julia Ann (Dollar) Langa, 67, of Butler, passed away, Jan. 27, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Hudson, Ohio, following a two-year battle with glioblastoma.
She was born in Butler on May 3, 1954, a daughter of the late Betty (Furka) and Harry Dollar.
She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, where she married David Charles Langa on April 12, 1975, who preceded her in death.
Julia graduated from Butler High School in 1972, became an LPN in 1973, and worked for the VA Medical Center. After leaving the workforce to care for her children, Julia then became a medical assistant in 1994, and worked for Primary Care Associates for 25 years.
Julia loved her dog, Lucy, gardening, and caring for her home and yard. She was happiest sitting on her sun porch listening to Pirates games and Neil Diamond. Julia loved to build jigsaw puzzles, complete crossword puzzles, and play Scrabble, Rummikub and Yahtzee.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (David) Chottiner of Ohio; and her son, Daniel (Ingrid) Langa of Massachusetts.
Julia loved her three grandsons, Max, Andy and Noah.
She is also survived by her sister, Teresa (John) Bascom, and nieces, Jessica (Dave) Bronder and Megan (Dave) Winters.
LANGA — Friends of Julia Ann (Dollar) Langa, who died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. The Rev. Steve Neff will officiate.
Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.
