Eleanor E. Fuhr McCombs Morris, 94, of Parker, formerly of Butler and Gibsonia, passed away on Friday morning, Jan. 28, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 27, 1927, in Mars, she was the daughter of the late Theodore W. “Ted” and Ellen E. Campbell Fuhr.

Eleanor had been a clerk at Value Fair and at North Star Cheese, had worked as a waitress, a housekeeper at Conley’s, was a seamstress, and finally had worked at the Richland Walmart for 11 years.

She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Butler, and had been a member, past president and secretary for the Richland Civic Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Lynn Heffley (Keith) of Renfrew; two sons, Roger Alen McCombs of Millvale and Scott Andrew McCombs (Christine) of Parker; her son-in-law, Stanley Rutkowski of Cranberry Township; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; five stepchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; many stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Audrey May Callopy (James) of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles L. McCombs, whom she married in July of 1946, and who died in 2001; by her second husband, Robert J. Morris, whom she married in 2004, and who died in 2015; a daughter, Patricia Ann Rutkowski; her sisters, Sarah Jane Peaco, Lila Jean Dunbar, Eileen E. Vogel and Edith E. Wills; and two brothers, Theodore C. Fuhr and William E. Fuhr.

MORRIS — Friends of Eleanor E. Fuhr McCombs Morris, who died Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Old Union Church Cemetery, Adams Township.
