Delton Weigle

Weigle

Delton Loyal Weigle, 67, of Harlansburg, passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice Concordia surrounded by his loving family on Jan. 20, 2022, following a brief illness.

Mr. Weigle was born on July 16, 1954, and was the son of the late Lawrence E. and Elizabeth Irene Cochran Weigle.

Following graduation from Moniteau High School in 1972, Delton was employed by Magnetics Inc., where he learned the skill of tool and die making. After 18 years of service at Magnetics Inc., Mr. Weigle accepted a position at Delphi Packard, where he was employed until 2008, at which time he retired. Delton’s success as a tool and die maker was due to his mathematical expertise, attention to detail and unmatched work ethic.

Mr. Weigle was a member of the East Butler Hunting and Fishing Club, the Masonic Butler Lodge 272 and the National Rifle Association.

Following retirement, Delton enjoyed daily walks and bicycling at Moraine State Park with his wife, Linda, whom he married on July 29, 1994.

In addition, Delton was an accomplished sportsman and avid outdoorsman, having spent countless hours hunting and fishing.

Mr. Weigle was a deeply committed family man, having an unmatched love for his wife and children, who will forever miss, admire, love and cherish him.

Delton is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Ryan (Robin) Weigle and Jessica (Richard) Bosco; his stepchildren, Michele (Carl) Stachew and Brian (Amber) Peters; his grandchildren; and his sister, Diane Arner.

WEIGLE — Per his request, a private burial has taken place for Delton Loyal Weigle, who died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022.

Arrangements were handled by SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Slippery Rock.
