Larry Terwilliger

Larry B. “Twigs” Terwilliger, 79, of Eau Claire, passed away Dec. 26, 2021, at his home with his family by his side. Larry was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and developed COVID-19.

Born Dec. 2, 1942, in Reidsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Wayne “Dutch” and Mable Crispen Terwilliger.

Larry married the former Faith Elaine Delacour on Feb. 17, 1962, at Tidal Presbyterian Church.

He was employed by J.M. Beatty Automotive in Eau Claire for 21 years and then worked 25 years at Hunter Truck Sales of Eau Claire, where he retired in 2007.

Larry enjoyed camping, family gatherings, and golfing with his friends.

Larry is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Faith; his daughters, Cindy Maihle of Callensburg, Pamela (Jeff) Crisman of Emlenton, and Marcy (Brian) Scott of Emlenton; his grandchildren, Kaleb (Jaqueline) Maihle, Ethan (Natalie) Maihle, Levi Maihle, Noah Maihle, Mackenzie (Tonya) Crisman, Blain Crisman, Courtney (James) Egger, Seth (Jessica) Scott and Brooke (Brad) Wice; four great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brothers, Wayne (Darla) Terwilliger and Gary Terwilliger; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Wendall; and a sister, Betty (Robert) Bailey.

TERWILLIGER — Friends of Larry B. “Twigs” Terwilliger, who died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021, may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire.

Members of the Parker Allegheny Canby Lodge will perform a Masonic service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Amy Callander officiating.

Larry will then be laid to rest at the East Unity Cemetery.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of masks and social distancing is suggested.
