Robert L. Ealy, 58, of Dunbar, formerly of Butler, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, in Dunbar.

Robert was born March 3, 1963, in Butler. He was the son of Lora Jean Brophy Ealy of Butler, and the late Oscar William Ealy.

Rob was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Joyce A. Denton, and her husband, Herb, of Butler; his niece, Rochelle, and her fiancé, Hakeem Dent; his stepbrothers and sisters, Kathy Hilliard and her husband, Joe, of Chicora, Jack Claypoole and his wife, Crystal, of Butler, Daryl “Boldy” Claypoole and his wife, Bonnie, of Butler, and Diana “Gidget” Everetts of Butler; as well as a number of other nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Ealy; his stepfather, Charles Claypoole; and his stepsiblings, Rachel Claypoole Rhinebolt, Charles Claypoole Jr. and Mickey Blystone.

EALY — Visitation for Robert L. Ealy, who died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday at HILE FUNERAL HOME OF KARNS CITY, 128 Main St., Karns City.

A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Floyd Barnhart, a United Methodist pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia.
