Jane M. Christy, 88, formerly of Butler, passed away on Jan. 23, 2022, in Charlotte, N.C.

Born March 9, 1933, in Chicora, Jane was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Alberta C. McMinn.

She was a 1951 graduate of Chicora High School.

Jane was a charter member of Faith U.P. Church.

While in Butler, she was employed by J.C. Penney and George Kerr Inc. Later she worked for Belk in Charlotte.

Jane is survived by her son, Bob (Debby) Christy; her daughters, Kim Christy and Barb (Ron) McKissick; four grandchildren, Kenneth and Ashley Christy and Ian and Taylor McKissick; and four great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen B. Christy, whom she married on May 8, 1954, and who passed away on June 20, 2015.
