Ellen Stevens

Ellen (Garbett) Stevens, 72, of Slippery Rock, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021.

She was a wonderful mother, wife and grandmother.

She graduated from Carrick High School.

She received her associate degrees in accounting and computer science from Butler County Community College.

She was very involved in several brain injury awareness programs. She loved spending time with friends at camp in the summer. She just loved having her family and friends around her, and she brightened every room she walked into.

She was the wife of the late Gerald W. Stevens; the daughter of the late Virginia M. Zimmer; and the beloved mother of John and his wife, Angel Stevens, Victor Stevens and Marvin Stevens.

She was the cherished grandmother of Scott, Vicki, Ali, Mackenzie, Samantha, Anthony, Amanda and Daphne; and the loving great-grandmother of Natalie, Paisley, Riley and Jude.

She was the sister of William Thomas (Sharon) Garbett, Duane Garbett and Vaughn Garbett.

STEVENS — The family of Ellen (Garbett) Stevens, who died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Readshaw Funeral Home, 1503 Brownsville Road, Carrick.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Linway United Presbyterian Church, 600 Lincoln Highway, North Versailles. Everyone please meet at the church.

Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery.
