Sarah Campbell
Sarah “Sally” Campbell, 80, passed away peacefully in her home in Aiken, S.C., on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, from complications of COVID-19.
Born in St. Louis, Mo., Sally was a daughter of the late Ira Charles and Eunice Gregory Wilson.
She graduated from Moniteau High School in 1960.
She married John Campbell, July 16, 1960, at Concord Church in Hooker.
She was a school bus driver for Campbell Bus Company, retiring in 2003.
She served as a 4-H leader for Butler County from 1976 to 1991, and shared her love and passion for horses and riding with many throughout that time. In addition, she served on the horse committee for the Butler Fairgrounds.
Sally was an extremely talented artist, right up until she became ill. She still hand painted wine glasses, and enjoyed giving her paintings to loved ones.
Sally is survived by her husband, John of Aiken, S.C.; her daughter and son-in-law, Amber Campbell Dunmire and Daniel “Skip” Dunmire of Aiken, S.C.; her grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Thomas Dunmire and Krystal Caldwell Dunmire of Newfane, N.Y.; granddaughter, Kaitlynn Dunmire of Aiken, S.C.; her sister, Cathy (James) Parker of Delmont, Pa.; and her brothers, Tom (Tee) Wilson of Hunt Station, N.Y., Don (Lucinda) Wilson of Butler, and Joe (Joanie) Wilson of West Sunbury.
CAMPBELL — A celebration of life for Sarah “Sally” Campbell, who died Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, is being planned by the family to be held this summer.
