Another man charged in Clearview Mall shooting

Damian J. Blystone

CENTER TWP — Charges have been filed against one of three men injured Tuesday in a shooting at the Clearview Mall parking lot. He is being sought by state police.

Damian J. Blystone, 19, of Butler, is charged with felony counts of terroristic threats and possession of a firearm prohibited and misdemeanor charges of simple assault, four counts of recklessly endangering another person, possession of small amount of marijuana, and use and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A criminal complaint was filed Friday with District Justice Lewis E. Stoughton.

The charges against Blystone are connected to an incident that occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the Rural King parking lot. Carlos Gonzalez Carril, 24, allegedly fired a weapon into a vehicle wounding Ryan Ehrman, 21, Blystone, and a known male juvenile. Gonzalez was charged with attempted homicide, felony aggravated assault and misdemeanor simple assault for each of the three people wounded.

According to previous reports, Blystone told state police he and the other two had an altercation with Gonzalez Carril in the store. Police said Gonzalez Carril followed them to the parking lot and flashed his gun. Ehrman reportedly flashed his own gun before entering the vehicle driven by the teen.

Police said the teen reported that while driving away the vehicle’s windows were shot out.

Police said Blystone and the teen had been shot in the back of the head and Ehrman was shot in his side. Authorities reported their injuries were minor.

State police are asking that anyone with information about Blystone call 724-284-8100.
