Thomas Angert
Thomas P. Angert, 55, of Renfrew, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 18, 2022, at Sunnyview Home.
Born March 6, 1966, in Butler, he was a son of Linda L. (Geibel) Angert and the late Thomas C. Angert.
Tom had worked as a chemist for more than 30 years for BASF, now known as Ascensus.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
He had been part of the Hazmat team, also serving as captain of the Butler County Hazmat team 100, had been secretary of the LEPC and held office at the East Butler Volunteer Fire Company, where his highest rank was assistant fire chief.
He enjoyed hunting, camping, fantasy baseball, spending time with his grandsons, and also time with his beloved goldendoodle, Daisy.
Surviving are his wife, Marci L. (Geibel) Angert, whom he married Dec. 1, 2017; two stepchildren, Aaron R. Cumberland and Jennifer (Marc) Howard; two grandsons, Logan and Levi; his mother, Linda Angert; his sisters and brothers, Cathy Oesterling, Dan (Denise) Angert, Michelle (Eric) Hesidenz and Mark (Kelly) Angert; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas C. Angert.
ANGERT — Friends of Thomas P. Angert, who died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022, will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
