Keith T. McCarthy
Keith T. McCarthy, 83, of Butler passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born April 11, 1938, in Grand Falls New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Elizabeth (Downing) McCarthy. He was the second of eight brothers and four sisters.
In 1977, he moved to Butler due to his employment with Heckett Engineering Company where he was employed for 30 years and retired in December 1998 as vice president of operations.
He enjoyed playing golf and going to casinos. He also enjoyed sports, especially the Steelers and the Penguins.
He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church and cooked pierogies for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary (Lesney) McCarthy; three sons, Alan (Maria) McCarthy of Hamilton, Canada, John and Todd McCarthy of Butler; two daughters, Bonnie McCarthy of Calgary, Canada, and Monica (Eric) Merinchuk of Hamilton, Canada; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
McCarthy — Friends of Keith T. McCarthy, who died Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham St., Butler.
Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 21 Evergreen Dr., Lyndora. The Rev. Father Yurii Bobko to officiate.
Interment will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
