Thomas Williams
Thomas Evan Williams, 82, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Monaca and Hookstown, passed away Jan.13, 2022, in Edison Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, New Castle.
Born Dec. 18, 1939, in Sewickley, he was the son of the late John H. and Ruth B. Clark Williams, and was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Bertha R. Williams.
He was a PennDot maintenance operator for 27 years, a member of the Slippery Rock United Methodist Church, a former Scout leader, and worked at his father’s service station, Williams Mobile in Monaca, and loved to cut grass at home on his five acres of land.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Naomi C. Bergwall Williams.
He is also survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Brian L. and Mary S. Williams of Beaver Falls; one daughter, Laurie J. Williams of Slippery Rock; one granddaughter, Kimberly L. Williams of Jeanette, Pa.; and one grandson, Evan T. Williams of New Brighton.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Donna R. Williams; and two aunts, Mary Kemp and Flo Becker.
WILLIAMS — Friends of Thomas Evan Williams, who died Thursday, Jan.13, 2022, are invited to attend a memorial service at a later date in February at his church, Slippery Rock First United Methodist Church.
Tom’s wishes were to be cremated.
Arrangements are in the care of the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 349 Adams St., Rochester.
