Ronald Lee Jordan

Ronald Lee “Ron” Jordan, 83, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021, at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born April 30, 1938, in Butler. Ron was the son of the late Albert M. and Dorothy M. (Patton) Jordan.

He was a graduate of Butler High School.

Ron was employed for 42 years as a crane operator and locomotive operator for the former Armco Steel in Butler, until his retirement.

He was a member of the Community Alliance Church in Butler.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of the Butler Hunting and Fishing Club, and the NRA.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marilyn L. (McElroy) Jordan, whom he married July 8, 1983; one son, William M. Groom of Englewood, Fla.; one daughter, Michele D. Patterson, and her husband, Scott, of Beaver Falls; five grandchildren, Daniel A. Muiter, Rebekah D. Zagorski and her husband, Ryan, Danielle J. Patterson, William A. Groom and Jordan L. Patterson; and one brother, Larry Jordan, and his wife, Peggy, of Bellefontaine, Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Marsha Lyn Kirkey; and a grandson, Bradley S. Muiter.

JORDAN — There will be no public viewing for Ronald Lee “Ron” Jordan, who died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, Butler.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ronald will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Pastor Joseph Erdos officiating.

Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, is assisting the family with their arrangements.
