Mary Luchkiw, 95, of Petrolia, passed away Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford.

Mary was born on Dec. 25, 1926, in Erico, Venango Township, Butler County. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Kloda) Krajewski.

Mary was a member of St. Faustina Parish.

She is fondly remembered for her delicious poppy seed rolls and her love of Elvis.

Mary is survived by a son and daughter, Mr. Robert (Nancy) Luchkiw and Mrs. Anna (Carl) Hartle, both of Petrolia; four grandchildren, Carl (Danica) Hartle Jr., Kristin (Jason) Anderson, Janeen (Jim) Beatty and Jolienne (Kevin) Himes; and nine great-grandchildren, Bailey, Alexandria and Cydney Hartle, Harley and Macey Anderson, Halle and Guerrin Beatty and Cameron and Addison Himes.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Luchkiw, who passed away Aug. 20, 1994; three brothers; two sisters; and a great-granddaughter, Laney Anderson.

Mary’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford, for their love and compassion for Mary and her family.

LUCHKIW — Services and burial for Mary Luchkiw, who died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, will be held privately in North Washington Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, West Sunbury.
