Terry L. Hoak
Terry L. Hoak, 63, of Butler, passed away on Dec. 9, 2021, at his home after a year-and-a-half battle with cancer.
Born Feb. 25, 1958, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of Melvin S. Hoak Sr. and Norma Mae Grunden Hoak.
He worked as a union carpenter for Local 181 in Youngstown and Local 211 in Pittsburgh. He was a surveyor for Austin Oil and Gas Exploration.
Terry was a 1976 graduate of Knoch High School.
He was a member of Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church.
He had been to almost all 50 states. He was an old rock band trivia expert. He enjoyed riding his Harleys, working on his Mopars, going to NASCAR races, drag races, concerts and spending time at his camp in Tionesta. He enjoyed telling jokes and talking with people. He would strike up a conversation with anyone who would listen. Most of all, he was a really nice guy.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Kasperski Hoak, whom he married June 4, 1988; his brother, Melvin (Donna) Hoak of Cabot; his sister-in-law, Judy Hoak of North Jackson, Ohio; his father-in-law, Raymond Kasperski of Saxonburg; his brother-in-law, Robert Kasperski of Saxonburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Wayne and Alan Hoak.
HOAK — Friends of Terry L. Hoak, who died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021, at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.
Funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Allio officiating.
