Janet Keener Scott
Janet Keener Scott, 84, of Cabot, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
Born April 11, 1937, in Boggsville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Raymond G. and Olive P. (Shaw) Keener.
She was a graduate of Freeport High School.
Janet was employed as a bookkeeper with Carson Industries, retiring in 1982.
Janet was of a strong Christian faith.
She most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, traveling and baking.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Duck) Keller of Freeport; her sons, Hub (Deb) Carson of Freeport and Jeff (Kerri) Carson of LaBelle, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Cindy (Barry) Carson of Boyers and Chris Goines of Grove City; her brothers, Dick and Larry Keener, both of Cabot, and Keith (Charlotte) Keener and Bill (Judy) Keener, all of Freeport.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Richard “Scotty” Scott, who passed away in 2019; her sisters, Myrt Friend, Mary Lou Bouch, Pidge Turko and Eleanor Emery; and her brother, Don Keener.
SCOTT — Family and friends of Janet Keener Scott, who died Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, are invited to a visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 5 p.m. with Pastor Greg Bolewitz officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler.
