Carol J. Deal, 87, passed away, Friday evening, Jan. 7, 2022, while residing at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born Dec. 15, 1934, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Charles Rearick and Helen (McKissick) Rearick.

Carol was a homemaker and a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

She had been a foster mother for over 20 years, and had enjoyed camping, sewing, crocheting, shopping and traveling to Florida to visit with her son.

Surviving are her children, Martha (Ronald) Neff of Chicora, Lawana “Kim” (Bruce) Double of Renfrew, Sherry (Gary) Moffitt of Oklahoma, Skip (Mary) Deal of Florida and Delmar Silk of Butler.

She is also survived by a foster daughter, Katherine McLaughlin of Saxonburg; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil O. Deal, whom she married April 25, 1953, and he died Oct. 6, 2013; an infant son; four brothers; and three sisters.

DEAL — Private services Carol J. Deal, who died Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, will be held for her family.

Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park.
