Paulette Moniot
Paulette Mae Moniot, 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, from dementia.
Born Jan. 21, 1948, she was adopted at an early age by George and Bea Revay, both deceased. She lived in Gibsonia with her loving partner, Bruce Burgess, from 1997 until her passing.
She is survived by Bruce; her three children, David Moniot, Todd Moniot and Lisa Moniot Short; and her six grandchildren, Corey Moniot, Travis Moniot, Dustin Moniot, Shane Moniot, Sydney Short and Payton Short.
Paulette was an avid sports mother, Black and Gold fan, outdoors woman and animal lover. She never missed a single sporting event her children competed in, and was an avid fan of the Steelers and Pirates.
She marked weekdays with bingo in local volunteer fire halls, softball team games and bowling nights with her league. She was introduced to vegetable gardening and canning by her mother-in-law, and mastered true farm-to-table cooking long before it was a trend. Bruce introduced her to the great outdoors, whitewater rafting, hiking and camping, and extended her love of gardening to all sort of plants and flowers, which adorn their Gibsonia home.
She enjoyed her quiet life with Bruce, and was a force to be reckoned with for all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
