Robert W. “Bob” Brant, 76, of Freeport, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, while surrounded by his family at Concordia of Fox Chapel.

Bob was born on July 30, 1945, in Natrona Heights, and was a son of the late Martha C. (Lobaugh) and Addison W. Brant Sr.

Bob was a 1963 graduate of Freeport High School.He joined the U.S. Navy, and served on the USS Intrepid during the Vietnam War.After his service to his country, Bob returned to Freeport, earned his insurance license, and began his career as a Prudential agent. He ran his office in Buffalo Township for 48 years, retiring in 2020.Bob was a past Freeport Area School District school board member and a member of the Freeport Eagles.He enjoyed watching the Steelers and Penguins, golfing, working, and spending time with friends and family.Bob is survived by his wife, Denise Geisler; his daughters, Courtney (Michael) Conti of Orchard Park, N.Y., and Brandi (Brad) Arnold of Valencia; his son, Chase (Melissa) Brant of South Buffalo Township; and his grandchildren, Reece, Aidan, Keegan, River, Charlotte, Tyler, Lauren and Ivory.Robert is also survived by his brother, Donald W. (Maxine) Brant of Mogadore, Ohio.Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his son-in-law, Timothy Lubiniecki; his brother, Addison W. “Wayne” Brant Jr.; and his sisters, Lynette Brant, Susan Brant and Mary Lee Nevitt.BRANT — Family and friends of Robert W. “Bob” Brant, who died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport, with Pastor Eric Damon officiating.Burial will be held in Freeport Cemetery, Freeport.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orphans of the Storm, 11878 PA-85, Kittanning, PA 16201.To send a condolence visit, www.redmondfuneralhomeinc.com.
