Joyce E. Marnic

Joyce E. Marnic, 84, died peacefully on Dec. 3, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Sept. 3, 1937, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late W.H. “Doc” McCune and Mary E. (Broad) McCune.

Joyce graduated from Butler High School, Class of 1955.

Following graduation, she was employed for 28 years by Nationwide Insurance Co. as an underwriting tech clerk.

Joyce enjoyed being a part of three card clubs, reading, solving crossword puzzles and family gatherings, but most of all she loved being surrounded by her eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Joyce is survived by two sons, Stephen (Linda) Marnic of Bridgeport, W.Va., and Richard (Jennifer) Marnic of Butler; eight grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Marnica, Virginia, Claire, Stephanie, Richard and Megan; and one great-grandchild, Jayden.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Seubert; her sister, Althea Hildebrand; her brother, Richard McCune; and her companion, Bob Dellen.

Joyce was a kindhearted, caring person, who will be missed by many.

MARNIC — Friends and family of Joyce E. Marnic, who died Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

Prayers will immediately follow in the funeral home.
