Evelyn M. Shellgren, 93, of Cabot, formerly of Slippery Rock, passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021.

Evelyn was born on July 7, 1928, in McKeesport, and was the daughter of the late Arthur W. Peterson and the late Elsie H. (Johnson) Peterson.

She was a member of Center United Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock.

Evelyn is survived by three daughters, Christine Sober of Anderson, S.C., Susan (Andrew) Clarke of Butler, and Terry Young of Cranberry Township; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by one sister, Nancy Ball of North Huntingdon.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Shellgren; and her brother, Robert.

Arrangements are under the direction of WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, West Sunbury.
