Elizabeth Swesey

God gained a special angel in the unexpected passing of Elizabeth Jane Swesey on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021.

She was born June 26, 1982, the daughter of the late Patrick W. Swesey and Mary Ann Swesey of Butler.

Growing up, Elizabeth was a member of East Butler Sparks, Pioneer Girls, along with Girl Scouts where she earned her Gold Award. Elizabeth was a 2001 graduate from Butler Senior High School. She went on to college earning her associate's degree, then furthering her education, becoming an LPN. She did nursing for a number of years before becoming a home health aide. She had a love for all animals. Elizabeth was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her mother; her brothers, Timothy Pletcher and Mike (Cass) Swesey; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and her best friend, Melissa Murphy.

She was preceded in death by her father; her grandparents, Ed and Ida Swesey, and Harry and Jean Pletcher; her brother, Patrick T. Swesey and his wife, Debbie Swesey; and two uncles.

Swesey — There will be a memorial ceremony in the Spring for Elizabeth Jane Swesey , who died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in remembrance of Elizabeth.
