Nancy M. Early

Nancy M. Early, 66, of Cabot, passed away on Dec. 1, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital.

Born Jan. 30, 1955, in Butler, she was the daughter of Alvin Rummel and Erma (Montag) Rummel.

She was a graduate of Knoch High School and had attended Butler County Community College.

Nancy was a dedicated wife, homemaker, and, before retirement, the manager for Hannahstown Mutual Insurance, where she served on the board of directors as chairman of the Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies.

Her most cherished title was “Memaw,” as she loved anything pertaining to her grandchildren. She was well-known for her cooking and baking, and she also loved vacationing, spending time with her family, and anything Disney. Gardening, sewing and playing cards were some of her other many hobbies.

She was a member of Slate Lick Presbyterian Church, where she was an active deacon, and enjoyed singing in the choir and the Cantatas.

Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Roger Early, whom she married Nov. 24, 1973; her children, Aaron (Sarah) Early of St. Louis, Mo., Autum (Steve) Godot of Cabot, Joshua Early of Sewickley and Wendy (Dan) Bowser of Kittanning; her siblings, Arlin (Monica) Rummel of Cabot, Marlene (Henry) DuBois of Pittsgrove, N.J., Sam (Didi) Rummel of Rincon, Ga., James Rummel and Steve (Missy) Rummel of Sarver; 11 grandchildren, Alexandra, AJ and Reagan Early, Allison and Ryan Godot, William and Haddie Early, and John, Jacob, Anthony and Andrea Bowser; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

EARLY — Friends of Nancy M. Early, who died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Slate Lick Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Sam Grayl officiating.

Interment will follow in Slate Lick Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Slate Lick Presbyterian Church.
