Marcella R. Bittle

Marcella R. Bittle, 95, of Gibsonia, passed away on Nov. 29, 2021.

She was the beloved wife for 73 years of Harold G. Bittle; the loving mother of Cathy (Dr. Charles) Conger, Diana (Charles) Kratz, Steven (Jamie) Bittle and Timothy (Patricia) Bittle; the sister of the late Alice Tackenberg; sister-in-law of Robert (Doris) Bittle; dear grandmother of Michael (Kimberly) Conger, Andrea Conger, Peter (Lindsay) Conger, Rachel (Michael) Mensink, Laura Conger, Sherry (Joshua) Sachleben, Erin (Robert) Kling, Christina (Vincent) Sabatine, Alexandrea (Daniel) Cox, Taylor Bittle and Morgan (Jesse) Nelms.

She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

Marcella's greatest passion in life was music, especially her church choir, where she sang for over 86 years. She was a choir director at First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, and a member of the Little Music Society and the Pittsburgh Concert Chorale.

BITTLE — Friends of Marcella R. Bittle, who died Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Schellhaas Funeral Home, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.
