Eleanor Park

Eleanor Marie (Askey) Park, 77, of Butler, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 24, 1944, in Pittsburgh, and was the daughter of the late Maurice Dale and Agnes “Betty” (Coyle) Askey.

She was a graduate of the graduating Class of 1963 at Quaker Valley High School.

She had numerous jobs that included cleaning homes for many people, cooking and bartending at various places, she had worked at the children's center in Shop 'n Save, and was a homemaker; but the job of her dreams was taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her enjoyment in life was crocheting, baking, sewing, feeding the squirrels, camping, watching the Hallmark Channel, the cooking channel and daily soap operas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous siblings.

Survivors include her spouse, Clifford B. Park, whom she married June 12, 1965; and three daughters, Charlene M. Park of Newbury Park, Calif., Julie L. Mullen and her husband, Peter, of Butler, and Michelle B. Scott and her husband, Daryl, of Butler.

She was the proud Nana of Chelsea (Chaz) Combine, Amanda (Tyson) Boarts, Derek Scott and his fiancée, Danielle Peiffer, Zachary Scott and Emma Peters.

She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Lillian M., Vincent A. and one little new one on the way; and her great-grand fur babies Carter, Cooper, Stonk and Bernie.

PARK — Friends of Eleanor Marie (Askey) Park, who died Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
